TFDA had updated the regulations on FSMP

TFDA (Taiwan FDA) had published new updated version of its FSMP labelling regulation on 2022-10-19. FSMP (foods for special medical purposes) under Special Nutritional Foods are required special labelling information in addition to the labeling requirements for packaged foods in Taiwan.

There are nine additional requirements in the new version. The main critical requirements are the wording of foods for special medical purposes, suitable target(s), suggested dosage, clear warning statements, its osmotic pressure if for Nasogastric tube feeding etc. FSMP is getting popular for the aging market in Taiwan.
